Hello!
I am missing teeth number 4 and 5 in the upper jaw; they were recently extracted.
Because the gap is visible when I smile broadly, it bothers me, but I would not like either a bridge or an implant. I would like to know whether there is a removable mini-denture that I could place in the area of the missing teeth when I need it. I work from home, so I do not have frequent contact with clients. I have heard of something called a "frog" denture, but I do not know whether this is what I mean and whether it can be removed so that you wear it only occasionally.
Thank you.

We can help you by making a removable replacement (a small temporary denture, locally called a "frog"). It is not recommended as a permanent replacement because it loads the supporting teeth incorrectly.

Hello,
I wear a removable appliance for my lower teeth because they are not completely straight. I would like to know whether such an appliance also corrects an asymmetrical jaw. If I move my lower teeth forward so that they are in the same plane as the upper teeth, you can see that my lower jaw is not level but slopes downward on the left side. If I run my tongue over all the teeth, my tongue is visible on the left side because the teeth do not meet there. On the right side they meet normally. The fact that the jaw is not level can also be seen if I raise my head slightly, which bothers me quite a lot. Thank you for your answer and kind regards :)

Dear Sir/Madam! Based on what you have written, I believe you have a unilateral open bite. This type of malocclusion is difficult to correct. I do not have enough information to answer your question. Please call us. Have a nice day!

I have had a complete denture for 10 years and I would like to know whether you could make me a new one, because the one I wear seems too small to me; as I say, I keep biting on the teeth. My dentist is ill and no longer works. I was a private-paying patient. I would now like to know whether I have to pay for the denture and how much, or whether I can get it without payment.
Thank you very much for your answer and kind regards.

Dear Sir/Madam! The price of a conventional complete denture is EUR 500. ZZZS covers the cost of making it in full if you are registered with a dentist and the waiting period for making such a denture has elapsed. Have a nice day!

Dear Sir/Madam!
Porcelain veneers are among the more demanding fixed prosthetic procedures and have a relatively narrow indication. The reason for choosing this treatment is subjective (the desire for a better appearance...). The procedure on the teeth is less radical than making conventional crowns, but it is still irreversible because the enamel layer on the front (visible) surface of the incisors is removed. If the teeth already contain many fillings or are considerably damaged, we prefer to make a conventional crown (which can likewise be made using all-ceramic technology). Veneers are relatively poorly resistant to overloads arising from biting or trauma. The aesthetic result is impeccable. As for your question about the “zirconia crystal”, I did not fully understand what you meant.

Hello,
I still have an upper baby canine at my age, but it will now be extracted because it is no longer healthy and is loose. My dentist suggested an implant. I have to decide between a cheaper, more aesthetic option costing 600–700 euros and a more durable solution costing 1200 euros. I do not understand what the difference is — only the material? The upper lateral incisors are not straight; would it be better to straighten them first, and how?
Thank you for your answer and kind regards!

Dear Sir/Madam!
The difference should not be in durability: both the implant and the bridge should be permanent solutions. Both solutions are very aesthetic, although in the case of a bridge construction we also place crowns on the neighboring teeth and can therefore alter them aesthetically as well (color, rotation, shape…). If the neighboring teeth only have a positional irregularity, it is possible to move them into the correct position with an orthodontic appliance before implant placement. The decision therefore depends on the functional and aesthetic needs relating to the entire group of teeth.

GOOD DAY. I WOULD LIKE TO ASK THE FOLLOWING. I SEVERELY DAMAGED MY TEETH THROUGH BRUXISM AND ACID REFLUX, SO THE MOLARS BROKE OFF ON ONE SIDE. I WENT FOR AN EXAMINATION AND THEY PREPARED THE TEETH. I WANTED ALL-CERAMIC CROWNS, BUT THEY PREPARED THEM INCORRECTLY FOR METAL-CERAMIC CROWNS. I THEN DECIDED THAT, SINCE IT WAS ALREADY LIKE THAT, THEY SHOULD MAKE GOLD ELECTROFORMED CROWNS SO THEY WOULD LOOK A LITTLE MORE NATURAL. I AM ALSO ALLERGIC AND WAS AFRAID OF REJECTION OF A FOREIGN MATERIAL. THE NEXT DAY I WENT BACK FOR ANOTHER BITE CHECK, BUT THEY SMOOTHED THE TEETH A LITTLE MORE. OF COURSE AGAIN WITH INJECTIONS AND A DRILL. HOWEVER, I THINK THEY DID TOO MUCH. THEY PREPARED THEM DOWN TO SOFT TISSUE. AFTER THE FIRST PREPARATION I ALREADY DEVELOPED A FEVER. EVERYTHING HURT, BUT I THOUGHT THAT WAS NORMAL. AFTER THE SECOND ONE, HOWEVER, THE PROBLEMS STARTED. BECAUSE THIS IS A FAMILY PRACTICE IN CROATIA AND THEY HAVE QUITE A LOT OF WORK, I THINK THEY WENT TOO FAST AND OVERHEATED AND OVERPREPARED MY TEETH. NOW THE NERVES HAVE BECOME INFLAMED IN THE SECOND MOLARS, FIRST MOLARS AND CANINES ON BOTH SIDES. AFTER THE GUM INFLAMMATION SETTLED, THESE ARE THE TEETH I FEEL MOST WHEN THE TABLET WEARS OFF. NOW THEY SAY I SHOULD COME BACK AND THEY WILL REMOVE THE NERVES. I WAS SHOCKED. BEFORE THIS I DID NOT HAVE A SINGLE FILLING AND HAD A PERFECT BITE, AND NOW I AM SUPPOSED TO HAVE AN ENTIRE DEAD UPPER JAW??? CAN THIS BE SOLVED IN ANOTHER WAY? IN PEOPLE WITH GRANULOMAS THEY TRY TO SAVE THE TEETH, BUT WITH MY HEALTHY ROOTS THEY WOULD JUST DESTROY EVERYTHING. PLEASE HELP ME. KIND REGARDS, MATIA

Based on what you have written, I believe inflammation of the dental pulps has developed in the teeth mentioned. From the type of pain you describe, I conclude that the condition is irreversible and requires root canal treatment; that is, removal of the pulp (with the nerve). If treatment is successful, you need not fear losing the teeth because of this. The treatment is demanding and very time-consuming, but it is worth the effort. I could give you a more precise answer after a clinical examination and review of an X-ray.

Dear Sir/Madam!
Crowns are a prosthetic treatment that replace or simply alter the original dental crown. The procedure is relatively radical because the existing crown of the tooth (intact or damaged) must be prepared into a conical shape onto which laboratory-made crowns are bonded (cemented). If the crowns of the teeth are undamaged and the patient only wants to lighten the teeth somewhat, tooth whitening is certainly a less radical and therefore more advisable procedure. Price: - EUR 210 (metal-ceramic crown) - EUR 350 (all-ceramic crown).
