Because I have an abnormally strong fear of the dentist, the consequence is very poor teeth. In the upper jaw I have 8 healthy teeth and in the lower jaw 9, all located in the middle; everything else is missing at the sides (broken...). I would like to know whether the missing teeth in this case are replaced with dentures (on each side, left and right, about three teeth are missing on average in both the upper and lower jaw), what the price is, and also how the cost of a denture is calculated, for example, if you have student status.
Thank you very much for your answer!
Kind regards!

Dear Sir/Madam!
Based on what you have written, it is difficult to say what is actually happening. During the mixed-dentition phase, when the roots of primary teeth have already resorbed or shortened and the roots of permanent teeth are not yet fully developed, the teeth can be mobile. The symptoms may be intensified by inflammation of the periodontal tissues, which can also result from a non-physiological position of individual teeth and the consequent accumulation of food... For an exact diagnosis and prognosis, I would need to examine the condition.

for now I do not have any major dental problems. If I really need a dentist, I go as a self-paying patient because I am very afraid of my registered dentist. Based on what I am reading, I would like to know whether it is also possible to register with you and what the waiting time is, or whether you only work with self-paying patients. In the future I would like to have a regular dentist, but I have nowhere to go.
Thank you very much and have a nice day.

Dear Sir/Madam.
I went to the dentist because I decided to replace my amalgam fillings with white ones. Everything is fine, but I have major problems with both first molars where the fillings were replaced. The replacement was my decision a few months ago, although the teeth were healthy. The two molars are now painful with every touch and bite, so I have major problems biting food because one is on the left and one on the right side. The dentist is surprised and cannot understand or believe it. Despite medication, a temporary filling and another replacement of the filling, during which some kind of liner was placed underneath so that the filling would not rest on the nerve, both teeth hurt badly at every touch, let alone when I bite. Please advise me what I should do. What is actually wrong? Is there any other possibility in dentistry for the teeth to become normal and painless again so that I can chew food normally? Would the pain go away if the teeth were devitalized? Thank you very much for your answer.

Dear Sir/Madam!
Every procedure on a tooth represents a certain irritation and injury to it. The consequence is inflammation of the dental pulp. If the inflammation is mild, you perceive the process only as hypersensitivity of the tooth to changes in osmotic pressure or temperature. If the inflammation is complete, the tooth becomes sensitive to touch and percussion. In this case, the pulp must be removed (root canal treatment), and the tooth becomes non-vital (dead).

If you are registered with us and the waiting period for prosthetics has elapsed, the insurance company fully covers a conventional acrylic partial denture. Otherwise, the price is EUR 500. Based on the status you describe, I recommend making two crowns with attachments and a denture with a cast base. Price of the restoration: - cast base: EUR 710, - attachment: EUR 250 X 2 = EUR 500, - metal-ceramic crown: 210 X 2 = EUR 420 - total: EUR 1630.

four days ago my second molar was extracted. Two days after the extraction, swelling and pain appeared. The dentist prescribed Amoksiklav (or something like that); after two days of taking it, I do not notice any significant improvement. Pus is still draining from the wound. The antibiotics are causing digestive problems. Please describe the healing process and why such complications occur.

Dear Sir/Madam!
Based on what you have written, I believe the wound has become infected. The causes vary greatly (local and systemic) and are most often unpredictable. Antibiotic therapy does not have an immediate effect, but it is reliable. In rare cases, depending on the complication, we also treat the wound locally (curettage, cleansing...). If you have problems with this particular antibiotic, it is best to replace it. Taking the antibiotic with yogurt or kefir on an empty stomach is the most recommended. In this way you avoid digestive disturbances.

Hello!
About three years ago, my dentist removed the nerve from my upper central incisor, which had been sensitive to cold and heat. Even after removal of the nerve, the condition of this tooth did not improve, except that it no longer hurts with cold, heat or sweets.
Because I still feel the tooth as painful, especially when my immune system is weakened or in bad weather, I had an apicoectomy. Less than a year later I went back to the surgeon who had performed the apicoectomy and told him that the tooth still hurt in the same way and also hurt when I pressed on it or tapped it. He performed another apicoectomy, and it is still no better. The tooth is painful and I constantly feel as though there is pressure on it. The X-ray showed no inflammation and that from the surgeon's side everything was fine. Over the last year the tooth has moved slightly backwards and this is already quite noticeable aesthetically. The surgeon mentioned that my problems could be due to the incorrect position (completely straight and already slightly backwards) and that because of my bite I probably keep wearing the tooth down.
I then went to an orthodontist, who told me that he could not guarantee that a dead tooth could be aligned in the way I would like, and I was advised that both dead upper central incisors should be extracted, that I should wait 2 months for the wounds to heal, then have two implants placed and, after 6 months of healing, receive fixed orthodontic braces.
I am very sad and would kindly ask for your opinion!
Thank you for your answer!

Dear Sir/Madam!
Apicoectomy is a procedure that statistically does not have the highest success rate (70%). Repeating the procedure at the same site has an even considerably poorer prognosis. The profession recommends prior revision of the root canal filling, thereby increasing the chance of success. If the tooth still causes problems after the procedures described (pain, swelling, fistulation...), repeating them is usually pointless and a different solution must be chosen: removal of the tooth and its replacement. It can be replaced with a classical bridge construction or by placement of an implant. For a more precise answer, I need to see the X-ray and perform a clinical examination.

Dear Sir/Madam!
We are able to make crowns within a few days (one week). Throughout this time, your appearance is maintained with provisional restorations. After tooth preparation, the teeth may be slightly sensitive to changes in osmotic pressure or temperature. However, the likelihood is small because they are protected with temporary crowns. Price per crown: - metal-ceramic: EUR 210 - all-ceramic: EUR 350.
