I would like to know whether it is normal for swelling to occur after artificial bone (granules) has been placed in the jaw, with the swelling being worst on the third day (which is today). I am very swollen and have bruising under my eye, which is already almost closing it. I should add that because of peri-implantitis the oral surgeon had to remove 2 implants that I had had for 16 years; because they had damaged the bone, artificial bone had to be added.
Thank you for replying to my personal email.

Hello! I would like to know whether it is possible for my cheek above the tooth to itch after endodontic treatment, and what this means. The tooth does not hurt and is not sensitive, and there are no other visible signs on the cheek either (redness or anything similar). Kind regards.

Dear Sir/Madam! I have not dealt with a similar problem myself, but I can assume that it is a consequence of the local anaesthetic, which I believe will soon disappear. Have a nice day!

Hello.
On Monday I went to the dentist because of pain in an upper second molar that had been filled some time ago. She opened the tooth and placed some black medication inside to calm the nerve. It is now Wednesday and the tooth hurts when I press or bite on it. The pain is not very severe, but it is unpleasant. I would like to know whether this type of pain is to be expected or whether I should go back immediately. My next appointment is in a little over a week. Thank you for your answer.

Pain after filling is a relatively common problem when extensive removal of diseased dentine is necessary. The treatment in this case is devitalisation of the tooth, i.e. removal of the vital dental pulp, which is carried out by means of “root canal treatment”. As part of first aid, a substance was placed in the tooth that caused the dental pulp to die. It is difficult to predict the course of subjective symptoms (decrease or increase in pain...) immediately after the procedure, but moderate pain for a few days can certainly be expected. The substance mentioned needs to be removed within a few days, the root canals cleaned, and a substance for sterilising the root canals placed in them, thereby preparing them for filling.

Dear Sir/Madam! The price of the complete dentures you are asking about is: 700 Eur (complete denture) X 2 = 1400 Eur. We adapt the start of the work to each individual as much as possible. Have a nice day!

My dentist suggested a bridge on both sides, but it seems a shame to grind down the second premolars because they are healthy. The wisdom teeth on both sides have fillings. I think it would be better to replace the missing teeth with implants. I would like to know whether one implant on each side would be sufficient, or whether four implants would need to be placed, one for each missing tooth. Thank you for your answer.

The X-ray showed that the tooth has to be removed. Last year I had an appointment with a surgeon, but because of exams and a job interview I could not attend the procedure. I would like to know how much such an operation costs at your clinic. How quickly could I get an appointment if I am treated as a private-pay patient? You probably need an X-ray for the procedure. Do I need to have another one taken, or could the image be obtained from my general dentist (it is more than a year old)? Thank you for your answers. Matic

Dear Sir/Madam! For the procedure we need a panoramic X-ray, which can also be taken at our clinic. The price of the procedure is 90 Eur. If the procedure is not urgent, we are booking appointments for mid-December. Have a nice day!

Dear Sir/Madam!
The gap between the two central incisors can be closed in several ways: -building up both incisors with composite, which is a non-invasive and reversible procedure but does not have a very long service life. Composites may become discoloured or damaged after a few years under high biting forces. Price: -65 Eur (build-up per tooth) X 2 = 130 Eur. -making aesthetic veneers is a demanding but highly aesthetic treatment that does not change over time. The procedure is partly invasive because it requires preparation of the front surface of the tooth (within enamel). Price: -350 Eur (all-ceramic veneer) X 2 = 700 Eur.

In the upper left I am missing tooth 7, tooth 6 needs extraction (only the root remains), and tooth 5 is missing. In the upper right, tooth 7 is present but without a crown, and teeth 6 and 5 are also missing. How much would bridges on the left and right, each supported by 2 implants, cost?
In the lower right I have a bridge supported by teeth 8 and 5, which is more than 12 years old and would probably already need replacement.
Thank you very much for your answers. Kind regards, Milena.

Dear Sir/Madam!
I assume that the condition could be restored with four implants and four crowns on those implants. Price: -750 Eur (implant) X 4 = 3000 Eur. -420 Eur (crown on implant) X 4 = 1680 Eur. The price includes all materials and procedures from the beginning to the desired final result. In the lower jaw you would likewise need two implants supporting three dental crowns: -750 Eur (implant) X 2 = 1500 Eur -420 Eur (crown on implant) X 2 = 840 Eur -210 Eur (pontic) X 1 = 210 Eur. If the anatomical conditions are good, it might also be possible to treat the condition with a reduced number of implants.
