Dear Sir/Madam! In principle, a filling can also be made once the braces are already in place, but it is more difficult. I recommend treating the caries before the braces are fitted. Have a nice day!

This bothers me greatly from an aesthetic point of view. I would like to know whether it is sensible or possible to have the front teeth covered with porcelain veneers rather than dental crowns. I would also like to know which procedure is cheaper or more durable. I have no problems with the tooth roots, as all the roots are still healthy.
Thank you very much for your answer.
Kind regards.

Aesthetic veneers are a relatively delicate fixed-prosthetic restoration and most often require a firm and healthy tooth substrate. If the fillings are small and do not involve key areas of the dental crown, fabrication is of course possible. The procedure is less radical than making a conventional artificial crown. We tend toward making the latter if damage to the crown portion is too extensive or if the teeth are overloaded because of the type of bite or parafunctions (clenching or grinding). Making a conventional dental crown is the less expensive procedure.

Dear Sir/Madam,
For some time now, because I myself have recently had quite a few problems with my teeth, I have been reading your kind answers to various questions about dental treatment. I am 43 years old. At present I have considerable problems with the teeth in my upper jaw, most of which are covered by fixed restorations with porcelain crowns. My dentist had to remove one bridge two years ago because of a granuloma, leaving a gap there. The current examination/panoramic X-ray shows a new granuloma and another two poor roots in the upper jaw. Part of the bridges will have to be removed and teeth extracted (teeth on the left and right sides of the jaw), and the dentist determined that a partial denture plus up to 6 crowns on both sides of the jaw will be necessary, connected across the palate (so I would feel it on both sides of the palate). This worries me quite a lot, because I was very satisfied with the fixed restorations and I am afraid of a removable denture. I have had the crowns for 9 years. I therefore remembered your answers about implants and would be very interested in what possibilities I might have, approximately how many implants I would need, information about the price including crowns, etc. It would not be necessary to remove all the bridges. Could I book a first examination at your practice (with the concession/public service I understand the waiting time is up to 6 months), because the matter is fairly urgent (granuloma and poor roots, i.e. 3 teeth in poor condition). My dentist has also set the date 20.01.2011 for the beginning of the procedures. The lower jaw will also need treatment, but at present treatment of the upper jaw is certainly more urgent because of the diseased teeth.
Thank you very much for your answer and kind regards.

I would also like to know whether you can repair several teeth during a single visit (because of the distance to the practice). I am also interested in whether your clinic is entirely private or whether some treatment is financed by public health insurance!!!
Please reply as soon as possible!! Urgent!!!

With the use of local anesthetics, the procedures are painless. Nevertheless, dental treatment can still be stressful and unpleasant for some individuals. We can also prepare you for this with sedative medication. Several procedures can be performed in one session. The number of visits is usually determined by prosthetic treatment, which cannot be completed all at once because of the intermediate technical stages. Our practice also operates under a concession.

Dear Sir/Madam, after one year of unsuccessful root canal treatment of my upper left second premolar, my dentist decided on an apicoectomy because, in his opinion, there is no other solution. I have a full bridge/crown restoration on the upper teeth.
After the first apicoectomy, during which the root tip was removed, pain appeared after one month. They performed another apicoectomy, leaving only 3 mm of root. After one week the pain returned. I took antibiotics, but they did not help and the pain remained.
Is there any other solution?
Thank you for your answer and kind regards, Marija

Dear Sir/Madam! Based on what you have written, I believe the only possible solution is removal of the tooth. The tooth can be replaced with a conventional fixed prosthetic bridge or, even better, with a dental implant. Have a nice day!

Dear Sir/Madam!
If the root portion of the tooth is without abnormalities and the periapical bone area shows no changes on an X-ray, it is best to keep the tooth and restore the crown portion with an artificial dental crown. An implant is an option when the tooth has to be removed because of untreatable changes. Implantation therefore most likely does not apply here.

A wisdom tooth is emerging through the gum on the lower right side. It was supposedly never meant to erupt because, based on a panoramic X-ray (a few years ago), my dentist found that there was no room for it. Now it hurts and there is already a little pus. Today she cleaned the opening and placed a strip. The tooth needs to be removed. I would like to know how extensive the procedure will be. I should also mention that I am breastfeeding a one-month-old baby.

Dear Sir/Madam! I could answer your question after reviewing an X-ray (panoramic radiograph) and performing a clinical examination. The procedure has no effect on breastfeeding! Have a nice day!
