Hello,
I would like to know what the waiting times are for my husband, who needs new artificial teeth in the upper front. He has had artificial teeth since childhood; only 4 remain and they are breaking... I would like (as a wife naturally does) for him to get this sorted out as soon as possible. I know that the waiting times through public health insurance are long, so I am interested in the waiting times for self-pay treatment (approximately).
Thank you for your answer and kind regards

Dear Sir/Madam.
On Thursday, 4 August 2011, my son (9 years old) had an accident. During an ill-considered jump into shallow water, both maxillary central incisors were traumatically avulsed (PERMANENT TEETH!!!). Because it was already late in the afternoon and no dentist was working, I took him to the emergency department. He was examined by an ENT specialist. Apart from the loss of both central incisors, all structures were preserved and were not injured. On Friday, 5 August 2011, I took him to the emergency dentist (his personal dentist is on holiday), who established on a panoramic X-ray that the roots were also absent. Given that the child is 9 years old, I kindly ask you for advice or help! The matter is even more serious because September and the continuation of school are approaching!
Is the only option a removable 'frog' appliance? When can we expect implants to be possible?
I kindly ask you for advice!
Respectfully,
Andrej

In the case described, it is best to reimplant the teeth as soon as possible. You can perform reimplantation yourself at the scene; if you cannot do this, the teeth must be stored appropriately until professional help is available. Store them in saline solution, the injured person's saliva, or milk. Do not rinse the teeth with ordinary water and do not clean them with a toothbrush. Keep the bag with the described contents additionally cooled. Seek professional help as quickly as possible. Reimplantations are usually successful if performed within the first six hours after the injury. If the teeth are lost, replacement is necessary. The problem with implants at this age is that implants do not grow together with bone growth and can therefore be 'submerged' in the jawbone after a few years. I would wait another five years before placing implants. For the time being, the best temporary care unfortunately has to be removable prosthetic treatment. Fixation to the neighbouring teeth would inhibit jaw growth.

I have problems with my teeth because they are very brittle and break easily. I take very good care of hygiene (brushing, flossing), which is also visible because they are very nicely white. The only problem is that they are brittle and I am afraid this could lead to more serious consequences. If the teeth are brittle because of poor enamel or dentin structure (hypoplasia or aplasia of enamel or dentin), the pathological condition must be treated appropriately. You can contribute to the treatment yourself by using toothpastes that contain high concentrations of fluoride (Elmex); leave everything else to the professional judgement of your dentist.

Hello!
I would like to ask about the possibility of removing complicatedly positioned wisdom teeth. The problem is that they are not growing outward in the 'expected' direction, but sideways into the other teeth, and from time to time I get an unpleasant sensation throughout the jaw. I am especially worried because, due to the forward pushing, my incisors are (again) beginning to rotate or grow over one another. (I still use a removable orthodontic appliance at night precisely to maintain the current normal position, but at my age this is probably no longer appropriate.) Can you advise whether anything can be done in such a case?
Thank you in advance and have a nice day,
Aleksandra

Hello!
I am interested in veneers. My upper right central incisor is slightly displaced toward the lateral incisor, and on the left lateral incisor I have had a filling for several years which becomes unattractively discolored. Is it possible to have veneers only on the central and lateral incisors? What is the price including the work? How durable are these veneers and is it noticeable that the teeth are artificial? Do you offer payment in installments?
Thank you!

If you require immediate care, we can make an immediate denture on the same day that the remaining teeth are removed. You are therefore without teeth for only a few hours. The final denture is made in four visits (the time from extraction to the start of fabrication is determined at the extraction procedure itself). There is no waiting period. We adjust the appointment time to your needs.

Dear Sir/Madam,
On August 4, 2010, my son collapsed and struck his mouth against a door, fracturing tooth 1.1 in the root. After emergency treatment at the Dental Clinic, we were advised to remove tooth 1.1, insert an implant and restore a new tooth. After an orthodontic examination, the orthodontist found that the lower midline is shifted to the right. In the anterior region, his upper incisors bite onto the lower ones, so the upper incisors are worn. After the injury, the Dental Clinic placed a retention arch to stabilize the incisors, since the upper right incisor has a horizontal fracture in the coronal third of the root. The treatment plan is extraction of that tooth and placement of an implant at its site, but because of the crowding and unfavorable intermaxillary relationships, orthodontic pretreatment is necessary.
Because my son is a student and ZZZS does not pay for the implant, while the estimated price is approx. 4,800€, he sent ZZZS a request for coverage of the above. The request was rejected, and the ZZZS expert's assessment is that the tooth can be replaced with a fixed prosthetic bridge.
Please give me your opinion on whether the ZZZS assessment is really appropriate considering the condition of the tooth after the injury. Is orthodontic treatment also necessary if we decide on a fixed prosthetic bridge, since the implant price is too high for us?
Please give me your professional opinion.
Thank you and kind regards.
