Dear Sir/Madam!
Two upper front teeth in the middle are loose. Both teeth have crowns because they had previously turned black due to loss of vitality. Since both teeth will probably have to be extracted, I would like to know what could be done in their place, how much it would cost if this is not covered by compulsory insurance with supplementary insurance at Vzajemna, what your waiting time is and how long it takes for the teeth to be extracted and replaced with something else.
Thank you for your answer and kind regards.
Dentist Tomaž Rotar answers:
Based on what you have written, I can advise two different options for replacing the lost teeth:
-bridge: we prepare at least two neighbouring teeth (therefore both lateral incisors); in some cases it is also necessary to prepare the canines, and we make a bridge of four or six teeth (two abutment teeth or even four abutment teeth). Price: 4 (6) X 210 (metal-ceramic) = 840 or 1260 Eur. If we choose all-ceramic on zirconia: 4 (6) X 350 = 1400 or 2100 Eur.
-placement of dental implants: 2 x 750 (implant) + 2 X 420 (crown on implant) = 2340 Eur. In this case we do not prepare the neighbouring teeth. This treatment is certainly better from both a preventive and curative perspective. The patient receives teeth without placing a load on the existing healthy teeth (a completely separate functional and aesthetic unit). After tooth extraction, we expect to wait six weeks before the implants can be placed. Throughout this time you wear temporary replacements.
Have a nice day!
