I have a small gap between my upper front teeth and would like to know what could be done about it? And what is the approximate price? Is payment in installments possible? Kind regards
Dentist Tomaž Rotar answers:
Dear Sir/Madam!
A small gap or diastema can be corrected relatively easily; we simply build up the proximal surfaces of the incisors with composite materials (used for white fillings). The aesthetic result is very good, while durability is somewhat limited (a few years). The fracture strength of the materials is relatively low, so the build-up may break off, but it can be redone quickly. The price of the build-up is 65 Eur.
If the gap is larger and the requirements exceed what can be achieved with composite materials, we make dental crowns or aesthetic veneers. The procedure is more radical because the existing tooth is prepared. The result is aesthetically excellent and durable. The price of a metal-ceramic crown is 210 Eur, while an all-ceramic crown or veneer costs 350 Eur.
Have a nice day!
