Hello!
Fourteen years ago my dentist made me a bridge (posts on the roots of teeth 2 and 3) up to the wisdom tooth, which is also my own tooth. The other teeth are missing. The bridge was paid for by health insurance; I only paid the surcharge for the higher-standard ceramic crowns. Because surgery was required for a cyst above the lateral incisor, the existing bridge became unusable (a cracked root had to be extracted), and I would need a new one. Because the span is long, it was suggested that I place implants in the positions of teeth 2 and 4 and connect the bridge to tooth 8, because I would not like to grind the front teeth, which are attractive and healthy.
Approximately how much would the described restoration cost? (two implants and a ceramic bridge from 2 to 8)
Am I entitled to a bridge that the insurance company has already approved once? (Do dental implants that I pay for myself change anything?) If possible, please explain or direct me to an institution that can explain this to me.
How much does a dental implant cost (how much for the titanium screw and how much for the work)?
On what basis should I decide on the type of implant (there are several types)?
How should I choose an implantologist (what references should I ask for)? I would like to choose a good one :)
Thank you very much.

Dentist Tomaž Rotar answers:
Dear Sir/Madam!
Implantology, at least according to my information, is not covered by the insurance company. The price of the proposed procedure would be:
- EUR 750 (implant without bone augmentation) X 2 = EUR 1,500. The price includes all procedures from diagnostics to completed implantation. Without an X-ray, I cannot agree with the plan for prosthetic rehabilitation that would include a bridge on two implants combined with your own tooth. In principle, we always try to separate prosthetic work on implants from that on natural teeth. I can therefore only give you a theoretical price for the prosthetic work on implants:
EUR 420 (crown on implant) X 2 + EUR 210 (metal-ceramic crown) X 5 = EUR 1,890.
In our practice we use Bredent implants, we stand behind our work and believe they are good. You will have to choose the provider yourself.
Have a nice day.
