Hello.
In the lower jaw I have only five teeth: 1 and 2 on the left, and 1, 2 and 3 on the right. I would like to have them ground down and all new teeth made, including of course the missing ones. How much of this can be done under the concession/public insurance, and what would the price be if I order porcelain? What additional costs are there, injections ... What do you advise?
Thank you for your answer.
Dentist Tomaž Rotar answers:
Dear Sir/Madam!
There are many solutions for the condition you describe. I will describe the one that I believe would be sensible to choose:
We grind down the five lower teeth and place metal-ceramic crowns on them in a connected construction. These carry attachments or joints that retain a removable denture in the mouth, replacing the teeth in the transcanine sector (posteriorly). You can remove the denture as needed and for cleaning.
Price:
210 EUR (metal-ceramic crown) x 5 = 2050 EUR
710 EUR (denture with cast base) x1= 710 EUR
250 EUR (attachment)x2 = 500 EUR.
Total: 3260 EUR.
An alternative to the procedure described would be a fixed construction on dental implants. You would need at least four. For an exact quotation, we would need to take at least an X-ray.
Have a nice day!
