Hello,
my upper right central incisor is supposedly a dead tooth that I knocked out of place with a bicycle accident as a child. Since both central incisors are chipped in a sort of "bridge" shape, I would like to know what you recommend, as an implant is too expensive for me. In addition, all four wisdom teeth are only half erupted and I often have problems because they hurt. What should I do? Do you also extract wisdom teeth and what is the price?
Kind regards

Dear Sir/Madam!
Even a dead tooth, if it has been properly root-canal treated, can remain normally in the mouth. If it darkens, it can be restored with a crown. If such a tooth causes constant problems (periapical process, fistula, pain, swelling...) that cannot be resolved, it needs to be removed. In that case it can be replaced with a bridge or an implant. A bridge requires preparation of the neighboring teeth (if their crowns are considerably damaged, this is a logical solution), while an implant supports an artificial dental crown without interfering with the tissues of neighboring teeth. If the neighboring teeth are intact, I recommend a dental implant.
Wisdom teeth are removed if they continually cause the problems described or if, during their growth, they resorb the hard tissues of the second molar.
Have a nice day!
