Dear Sir/Madam!
First of all, compliments on your effort and the concrete answers you provide to patients’ questions.
I am 33 years old and have had constant problems with my teeth since I was 20 (fragile teeth, frequent caries despite regular brushing...). These problems increased during and after pregnancy. So far I have had 9 teeth extracted, and a few more would need to be removed because some are only stumps down to the gum. I am worried about how these stumps can be extracted, especially because of my strong fear of dentists. Of course, my greatest wish is finally to get these "teeth" sorted out. In the lower jaw I have healthy teeth: the front eight, then on both sides all the way to the last tooth, which needs to be extracted, I have nothing — they have already been extracted. In the upper jaw: the first two front teeth are healthy, next to them on each side there is one tooth to be extracted, then again one healthy tooth on each side, and from there onward everything needs to be extracted up to the second-to-last tooth on each side, which are healthy. The last two also need to be extracted. I sincerely apologize for this rather lay description. I would like to know whether I could come to you, how much the reconstruction would cost me and, of course, whether payment in installments is possible.
Thank you in advance for your answer. Kind regards and have a nice day!
Dentist Tomaž Rotar answers:
Dear Sir/Madam!
Based on what you have written, I have formed an idea of your dental status. In the lower jaw you have teeth up to the first premolar on each side, so we are talking about a shortened dental arch on both sides. In the upper jaw both central incisors, canines and second molars are present. Based on the status described, one possible solution would be the following:
If we assume that the remaining teeth in the upper jaw are suitable as prosthetic abutments, we could make a semicircular fixed construction consisting of twelve teeth: Price: 210 x 12 = 2520 EUR. If the abutment teeth are not suitable for such a load, we can make a denture: Price: 710 EUR. If you nevertheless still want a fixed construction (that is, not removable like a denture), it is necessary to place several dental implants. The number and position of the dental implants can only be determined after examining the X-ray. The price of one implant is 750 EUR.
In the lower jaw we could extend the dental arch on each side with one implant and a bridge from the first premolar to the dental implant: Price 750 x 2 = 1500 EUR + bridge construction on both sides: 6 X 210 EUR = 1260 EUR. The remaining roots that are still in the mouth can be removed without problems.
Have a nice day!
