Dear Sir/Madam! We do not perform orthodontic procedures in our practice, but I can tell you that the condition can be corrected with an orthodontic appliance. For the price you would need to ask an orthodontist. Have a nice day!

Dear Sir/Madam,
Two days ago I started feeling pain on the right side of my gums. At that time my lymph nodes also became slightly swollen. The following evening the entire right side of my gums started hurting again (from the wisdom tooth to around teeth 4 and 3). During the day the pain is not always present. It also varies from very intense to milder. It is very strong in the evening. The whole right side of my gums, my ear and my head hurt. The pain is so severe that I cannot sleep at all, even if I take a painkiller (Nalgesin). It may be relevant that for several years a lower right wisdom tooth has been erupting. Now it has started to erupt more intensively. But I do not understand why one wisdom tooth would make the whole right side of my gums and face (upper and lower) hurt, although I have noticed that the pain is more intense where I have fillings (upper and lower first molars and lower second premolar and second molar). Sometimes the pain is more pronounced in the lower jaw, at other times in the upper jaw. Could this be a completely normal phenomenon when a wisdom tooth is erupting? I should mention that the other three wisdom teeth erupted completely normally. This one also seems to be coming in in a normal position and appears to have enough space. Of course I intend to visit a dentist if the pain does not stop over the next few days. I have never felt this kind of pain before, although I have had toothache in the past. Here I have the feeling that it is not ordinary tooth pain but rather pain in the gums. Could the cause of these pains be only the wisdom tooth, or could the problems originate elsewhere?
Thank you very much for your answer.

Dear Sir/Madam! The problems you describe may be caused by diseased tissue around the erupting wisdom tooth. Given the nature of the pain, despite this possibility it would be wise to take a panoramic X-ray and exclude the other teeth as the source of the problem. Have a nice day

We found information online that a child should be taken to a pediatric dentist so that the fracture site can be coated with a gel against sensitivity. We would like to know whether such an injury can have any consequences (problems with eating, increased risk of caries, etc.) and whether anything can also be done aesthetically — so that he does not have a chipped tooth for the next five to six years until it falls out.
Thank you in advance for your answer and kind regards!

Theoretically, it would of course be advisable to protect the fractured surface with glass-ionomer cement or composite, because this surface is a site where caries may progress more quickly. In practice, however, things are much more difficult to carry out, because a one-year-old child is not capable of reasonable cooperation during procedures. In any case, it makes no sense to burden such a young patient for aesthetic reasons.

Hello,
I am interested in the price and the treatment procedure for an injured tooth. A prefabricated post and crown treatment will be required. It is the upper tooth 22, where I have a fractured root. I have received quite a few professional opinions and I am now deciding on this type of treatment, which, if unsuccessful, would be followed by implantation.

Dear Sir/Madam! If the root of the tooth is fractured, reconstruction with a post and dental crown is no longer possible. We recommend a dental implant. Price: EUR 750 (implant) + EUR 420 (crown on implant) = EUR 1170. Have a nice day!

Dear Sir/Madam,
my dentist is going to replace the crowns on my lower central and lateral incisors, which are 25 years old. All four teeth are "dead", without roots. Three years ago I had a purulent inflammation (granuloma) on three of these teeth, and an X-ray four months ago showed that there are still shadows at the root tips, meaning that the condition has not been completely resolved.
Extraction of all four teeth has been proposed, followed by a bridge extending to the neighboring canines — therefore a bridge of six teeth in total. I have reservations about such an extensive bridge in terms of strength and reliability, and also oral hygiene, because I am afraid that food debris will collect underneath and cannot be removed, causing problems. When deciding on extraction, I must also take into account that I will be without the lower front teeth for at least six months and will have only a temporary shell over six teeth for aesthetic reasons? I was warned that the shell is extremely fragile and that normal eating will be impossible, and I will also have problems with pronunciation. Do you think extraction is the only or best solution, or is something else possible, for example surgical removal of the root tips (apicoectomy)?
Thank you for your answer and kind regards.

Both procedures depend on various factors that are difficult to assess based only on what you have written. The strength of the proposed construction can be good, but in a situation such as yours I recommend treatment with dental implants.

-first extract both lateral incisors and wait with the implants, or extract and place the implants at the same time,

Dear Sir/Madam!
Since I do not know the complete dental status in the lower jaw in detail, I will assume that the implants are intended to restore the intercanine sector (from the lower left lateral incisor to the lower right lateral incisor). For a fixed prosthetic restoration we need two implants, which would be placed in the positions of the lateral incisors. The osseointegrated implants would support a bridge construction of four lower incisors. Immediate placement of implants (after extraction) in the positions of the lateral incisors depends on various factors. If these are otherwise healthy but mobile lower lateral incisors, immediate placement of implants into the sockets is possible and even recommended. You receive a temporary denture a few hours after the operation. The final bridge construction on implants is most often metal-ceramic, and can be all-ceramic at the patient's request. Neither contains visible metal elements and both correspond in shape and color to the natural dentition. Any additional tooth loss in the lower jaw can be compensated for in the same way as described above (with implants, or with a removable construction that would be supported by the already placed implants in the positions of the lower lateral incisors). Price: -750 EUR X 2 = 1500 EUR (two implants) -420 X 2 = 840 EUR (two crowns on implants) -210 X 2 = 420 EUR (two fixed pontics) -total: 2760 EUR.

Dear Sir/Madam! If this solution was proposed to you by a specialist, I see no reason not to accept it. The average ten-year survival rate of dental implants is around 95%. Have a nice day!

Hello,
I have chronic iridocyclitis and my dentist mentioned that there is a device for detecting foci beneath dead teeth. Since I have 4 dead teeth, it is possible that one of them is causing my eye problems. My dentist advised me to try this first; only then, if there were no other way, would I have all the dead teeth extracted one by one.
Does such a device really exist that can show beneath which tooth a focus is located, and who might have one? I also had a panoramic X-ray, which did not show any inflammation.
Thank you very much for your help.
Kind regards,

Dear Sir/Madam! I personally do not know of a device that detects such foci. In alternative medicine, practitioners use various devices to look for foci, but I would not know how to comment on their reliability. Have a nice day!

Dear Sir/Madam!
The price of treatment depends on the method of reconstruction to the original condition. -A removable restoration is the simplest solution. If we replace the teeth with a partial denture, the price is EUR 500. A fixed prosthetic restoration can be performed in two ways: -a conventional bridge construction supported by the remaining existing teeth. The price depends on the number of new dental crowns. Based on what you have written, we can only estimate the number of crowns approximately: at least six. Price: EUR 210 (metal-ceramic crown) X 6 = EUR 1260. -treatment with dental implants is most often the best and most durable solution. To estimate the costs, I would need to see an X-ray and carry out a clinical examination. The price of an implant is EUR 750. Please try to form an approximate estimate using the attached price list. All procedures are painless.

Two implants may already be sufficient to stabilize an upper full denture. In this case the denture retains the palatal plate. Price: 750 Eur (implant) X 2 = 1500 Eur (if you keep your existing denture) In practice, we most often use four implants for this type of treatment. In that case we can make an upper-jaw denture without a palatal plate, most often reinforced with a metal framework. An uncovered palate is very important for the patient's comfort. Speech, taste, smell, salivary secretion... remain unchanged. Price: 750 Eur (implant) X 4 = 3000 Eur + 710 Eur (denture with cast base) = 3710 Eur.
