I am wondering whether, after placement of an implant with an all-ceramic crown, the gums around that tooth become dark or black after some time.

Dear Sir/Madam! This should not occur. If unforeseen bone resorption occurs on the outer (visible) side of the implant, the metallic color of the implant (if it is not zirconia) may show through a thin gum. Have a nice day!

Dear Sir/Madam!
We use all Bredent systems, including the one you are asking about. Immediate loading of implants is the subject of many discussions at seminars. Different schools teach different approaches. If good primary stability of the dental implant can be achieved during surgery (anatomical conditions, bone quality, relatively high torque...), implants can also be loaded immediately with a fixed construction, which according to some schools should be only temporary. I can give you a more precise answer if we perform a clinical examination and at least a panoramic X-ray.

Hello! I would like to know whether you perform tooth build-ups (bonding). What is the price per tooth? Is there any discount if 8 upper teeth are treated, and how quickly could this be done? The teeth are smaller and there are spaces between them. Thank you for your answer.

I assume you are asking about reshaping dental crowns with composite materials. The procedure is relatively simple but very time-consuming and precise. The results are usually very good, although composites can become slightly discoloured or damaged over the years and under heavy loads. The price of a build-up per tooth is EUR 65. If eight teeth are treated, we offer a 10% discount.

In the upper jaw I have a bridge made as follows: upper left first molar crowned, second premolar attached, first premolar crowned, canine, lateral incisor and central incisor crowned. The right central incisor is crowned, the lateral incisor is crowned but has decayed underneath the crown, the canine is attached, the first premolar is crowned but poor, and the second premolar is attached. I would like to ask whether, assuming the right lateral incisor and first premolar need to be removed, you could make me a partial upper denture without a palate. I do not know whether an implant is an option because I am a smoker. I would also like to know the price.
Thank you for your answer and kind regards.

Dear Sir/Madam!
A palate-free denture can be simple; in that case the retentive element is a clasp (a small hook that may be visible). The price of the product is EUR 900. If we make a better version of the product you are asking about, instead of a clasp the retentive element is an attachment or joint, which must be supported by at least two connected crowns on the teeth that are last in the row (both central incisors). Price of the product: - EUR 900 (denture) - EUR 210 (metal-ceramic crown) X 2 = EUR 420 - EUR 250 (attachment or joint) The product is more stable, and its appearance is not affected by a metal clasp. Implants are certainly a solution that provides a fixed condition and a completely free palate. Whether you are suitable for the procedure despite smoking could be determined after a clinical examination and X-ray.

Hello,
I have a question. Recently I went to the dentist and, because one tooth bothered me because it was slightly higher than the others, I asked the dentist whether he could grind it down and level it. After he ground the tooth down, I developed an open bite. I would like to know how this can now be corrected so that I can bring my teeth together again. Is the only solution an orthodontic appliance?
Thank you for your help, kind regards.

Dear Sir/Madam! The height of the tooth can be corrected by making an onlay or a partial crown, which does not require tooth preparation (at least not to a large extent). Have a nice day!

Hello!
I have a problem that looks small but is actually very important to me. Years ago my dentist extracted my upper right deciduous lateral incisor because there was no permanent successor. I was therefore left without a tooth, and the other teeth gradually began to move so the gap is now very small. Many people do not even notice the problem, but it bothers me personally. There has also been a slight shift of the dental midline to the right, which bothers me most. I waited quite a long time for orthodontic treatment because this is only an aesthetic problem and my bite, as they say, is very good. Now it is finally my turn and I was of course offered two options:
1. closing the teeth together and then reshaping by grinding – changing the canine into a lateral incisor, etc., but apparently this might worsen the bite. I would personally prefer this option because I would keep my own teeth, but I am very sceptical about how everything would look in the end and whether the teeth would begin to spread apart again.
2. The other and optimal option is of course an implant, which we have almost decided on because I would like my teeth arranged as well as possible. However, I am only 17, so I am a little worried about the bone and especially what will happen to the implant later in life. How long does it last, can it start to suppurate, after all it is a foreign body in the mouth, and how does it integrate into the jaw? I am especially interested in your advice — what would you recommend to your own daughter with such a problem? My parents would most like me not to change anything at all because many people say my smile is fine. But if we live in an age where almost everyone has braces and then a nice smile, why shouldn't I have one too? I would also like to know whether, while the screw is integrating into the bone, it is possible to wear some kind of temporary replacement or whether I would have to walk around for 6 months without a front tooth? :D
We hurried because of the orthodontic appliance, because otherwise at age 18 I would have to pay privately.
Thank you in advance for your answer and kind regards!

Dear Sir/Madam!
Orthodontic therapy that will create space for the missing tooth, followed by placement of an implant in that position, is certainly the best solution. This procedure leaves the enamel of the neighbouring teeth untouched, which today should be the rule. The stated age is not a problem. An implant (provided there are no complications, which occur in less than four percent of cases) is a long-term, perhaps even lifelong solution. Hygiene is the most important factor and we monitor it regularly. I would certainly recommend the same solution to someone close to me. You wear a replacement tooth throughout the treatment.

Hello,
10 days after my last menstrual period I had a panoramic dental X-ray. It was taken with a digital device, but they did not provide any protective shielding.
Today I found out that I became pregnant in the same cycle in which the X-ray was taken.
I would like to know whether there is any danger to the fetus.

Dear Sir/Madam! Exposure with this type of imaging is negligible because it is up to 10 times lower than with conventional imaging, and the location of exposure is far away from the problematic area. You can be reassured. Have a nice day!
