Dear Sir/Madam, I have an eleven-year-old son. His lower first molar hurt and he received a filling. A few months later he had pain again. The tooth was treated, but because the pain did not stop, we were told there was no solution and that it should be extracted. There is now medication in the tooth (at present it does not hurt) and we are waiting for the extraction recommended by the pediatric dentist. In the meantime, my own dentist advised me not to have the first molar extracted because the child is still too young. What do you advise? Thank you for your answer. Kind regards

Dear Sir/Madam! The solution depends on the overall dental status (too little or too much space in the jaw, type of bite), any orthodontic anomalies, and of course local problems affecting the tooth itself that could make normal root-canal treatment difficult or even impossible.
Dear Sir/Madam! The solution depends on the overall dental status (too little or too much space in the jaw, type of bite), any orthodontic anomalies, and of course local problems affecting the tooth itself that could make normal root-canal treatment difficult or even impossible. If several factors favor preserving and treating the tooth, we try to treat it; if not, we extract it. I could give you a precise answer after a clinical examination and an X-ray. Have a nice day!

Periodontal disease still does not have one precisely defined cause. It is a multifactorial disease, which means that there are numerous causes and they interact with one another. The most important risk factor for development of the disease is the presence of bacterial plaque. Bacteria in plaque, through their secretions and toxins, cause inflammation of the gums, which at first is limited only to the gums around the neck of the tooth. The gums bleed on contact. The inflammation is acute or subacute and at this stage still reversible, meaning that with proper hygiene the condition can return to normal. Later, the inflammation spreads to other periodontal tissues as well (bone and the tooth-supporting apparatus), becomes chronic and irreversible, meaning that a return to a healthy state is no longer possible. Other important risk factors are smoking, stress and hereditary factors. Only susceptibility to the disease is inherited, not the disease itself. Crowding of the teeth, which can be inherited, prevents proper and sufficient cleaning of the interdental spaces, which means plaque will cause inflammation of the gums and the main cause of the disease is thus present.

Dear Sir/Madam, I am in the 26th week of pregnancy and today I had a dental X-ray, although specialists had differing opinions about the harmfulness of X-rays for the fetus: one opinion was that with a dental X-ray the fetus is exposed to radiation to approximately the same extent as during air travel, while the opposite opinion was that I could have the X-ray only at my own risk. I decided to have the X-ray after surgery for an abscess, because without the image the doctors could not advise whether the painful tooth should be extracted or treated. Since I am still in pain and have swelling after the surgery despite antibiotic therapy, I decided on digital X-ray imaging and asked the radiology technician to give me double protection, because I had read on a blog that a pregnant woman should be protected in this way from radiation. The radiology technician agreed to my request, gave me a double apron and performed the imaging with a digital X-ray. I would like to know whether I acted correctly and whether there is any danger to the fetus, and if so, what the possible consequences for the fetus could be. Thank you in advance for your answer and kind regards.

Dear Sir/Madam! We generally do not choose to X-ray pregnant women. I believe the danger to the fetus is zero and that you can put your worries aside. Have a nice day!

Dear Sir/Madam! Special creams (apart from special toothpastes...) do not exist, or they do not have a significant effect. Hygiene is crucial (toothbrush, interdental brush, floss...). If signs of gingivitis are still present, a visit to the dentist is necessary. Have a nice day!

Dear Sir/Madam! I am not very familiar with the rules for payment of orthodontic therapy, but I will try to help you. The therapy is paid for by the health insurance if it was started before the patient turned eighteen. The patient must not discontinue the therapy themselves (of their own will), otherwise they become a self-paying patient. Orthodontists triage (classify) patients among the limited number of funded therapies according to the degree of impairment. The degree and type of impairment also determine the type of orthodontic appliance (fixed or removable). All the rules, or at least information on how to access them, are available to you on the ZZZS website. Have a nice day!
Hello, about 4 months ago I had 4 implants placed. The procedure went perfectly and now everything is ready for the superstructure, for the prosthetic work itself. I would like to know what your price per tooth is? I mean only the prosthetic part (without the implants). Thank you. Kind regards.

Hello,
I have a dental problem: on the upper left I am missing teeth 4 and 5, while teeth 6 and 7 are non-vital and are only remaining stumps, so they need to be extracted. I would like to restore this side with implants, specifically implants at positions 4 and 7 with a bridge between them, if that is suitable. I have a few questions. What would be the price for two extractions, two implants and prosthetic treatment for these four teeth? How much would bone augmentation cost in this specific case if needed? Are there any additional costs? How long would it take to complete everything, and is it done in stages?
Thank you in advance and kind regards,
Mojca

Dear Sir/Madam! Based on what you have written, I believe the situation could be treated in the way you describe. The price is: -750 Eur (implant) X 2 = 1500 Eur. -420 Eur (crown on implant) X 2 = 840 Eur -210 Eur (pontic) X 2 = 420 Eur. The price includes all procedures and mate

The price includes all procedures and materials from the beginning to the final result. If bone augmentation is required, the price of the implant is 1000 Eur. The implants can be loaded approximately 4 months after implantation; for this we need three visits at one-week intervals.
