Dear Sir/Madam! The price of the fixed prosthetic work you are asking about is: -420 Eur (crown on implant) X 4 = 1680 Eur -210 Eur (intermediate units) X 8 = 1680 Eur Total: 3360 Eur. Have a nice day!

Hello,
I have a slightly unusual question: my upper right lateral incisor is crooked or set back because there is not enough space between the central incisor and canine. I would like to know whether it is possible to grind down this lateral incisor (it is otherwise completely healthy) and then place a crown on it that would not be set back. This would also solve a slight speech defect, because the lateral incisor actually protrudes backward and therefore I pronounce sibilants differently. I have already asked my dentist for an opinion, and she says there is no solution other than braces. I do not want braces; I would like a different solution, which dentists probably do not favour given that the tooth is healthy and there is too little space for it. In my teenage years I wore an external orthodontic appliance for several years, which was supposed to push the second molars backward so that the other teeth would spread out a little and there would be more room, because I have a very narrow jaw. When the other teeth, which had previously been straight, consequently started to become crooked because of the increased spacing (especially the upper central incisors), I became frightened and stopped wearing it. The problem therefore remained unresolved. Because of the lengthy process and high cost, I do not want braces now. Is there any other solution for me? If there is not enough room for a dental crown or another solution, can a dentist extract the healthy lateral incisor? In such a case the teeth would probably spread out a little by themselves over time and the empty space instead of the lateral incisor would be less noticeable? Any advice would be welcome.
Thank you very much in advance!

Dear Sir/Madam! Orthodontic treatment, i.e. braces, is certainly the first and best choice. I also advise against grinding the tooth, but ultimately the decision is yours. It might be worth trying a ceramic veneer. Have a nice day!

Dear Sir/Madam! Only the base and cement of the artificial jewel need to be removed. The tooth under the cement is not damaged. You can make an appointment by telephone. Have a nice day!

Another problem is that this tooth is smaller than the others; years ago my dentist told me that I would have to have my gum cut in order to have the teeth in one line, but at that time she advised me against it and I do not know why. It still bothers me and I would somehow like to have the teeth aligned. I would like to know whether this can still be done, what the procedure is and the price?
Thank you for the information!

Hello,
I described to you my problem regarding the filling and the gap that developed (between upper teeth 4 and 5). You already answered this question today, for which I sincerely thank you!.
Nevertheless, I would like to ask because I am very interested in why I also feel this filling as a foreign body, or as if the tooth with the filling is heavier than the others... a feeling that the tooth is denser, that there is greater pressure... which is also unpleasant (when drilling, the dentist did not go so deep as to reach the nerve)... I am asking so that I know what to point out at my next dental visit.. (I also have not encountered such a situation on any forum or generally online.... could the filling be made incorrectly? badly? ...). Once again thank you very much for your time and answer. I am sending you my situation again so that you remember:
in November 2015 I developed caries on the upper left first premolar, at the edge of that tooth (right next to the second premolar). My dentist drilled quite deeply into the first premolar and then placed a white filling. Since then I have had the feeling that there is a large “gap” between the first and second premolars; every time I eat (it does not matter whether it is just an apple, bread,...) food remains in that gap. I also have an unpleasant feeling as if I can feel the filling, as if the tooth is “heavier or foreign”... even if I floss the food out, I still feel as though something is between the teeth. At first I thought it would somehow close up, but it has not and the sensation remains very unpleasant. If I run my tongue along the back of the first premolar, the edge is very sharp, as if it were chipped. This is not my first filling (the others are all fine). If I floss on the left side between the first premolar (with the filling) and the second premolar, the floss passes through very easily... whereas on the other side between the first and second premolars it barely passes through, and the same is true between my other teeth.
Before the caries developed on tooth 4 and the subsequent white filling, everything was fine. Food never collected there in a way that bothered me or that I could feel, and the edge was not sharp... just a normal tooth :)
I would like to know whether the filling may have been made poorly or “incorrectly”? Or did the dentist grind away too much of the first premolar? I am also considering having another dentist remove this filling and make a new one.
Best regards !

Dear Sir/Madam!
The phenomenon you describe is common when treating extensive caries, when tight contacts between neighboring teeth have to be removed during preparation for a filling. In addition, the filling probably extends below the gum level, which means that the gum is no longer attached to the tooth surface, further allowing food to collect in the interdental space. It may be possible to modify the filling; if not, I recommend making an inlay (partial crown).

It is the upper lateral incisor, which is quite visible. I whiten the other teeth with whitening strips and the difference is becoming too obvious.

Dear Sir/Madam!
Considering that the tooth in question is rather slender and has been additionally weakened by devitalization and removal of dentine during root canal treatment, I suggest making an artificial crown on a root post, which can be metal or made of other materials (glass fiber, zirconia...). This provides complete aesthetic and functional restoration of the tooth (reducing the likelihood of fracture). Bleaching would only bring us closer to an aesthetic correction, but would certainly not strengthen the tooth. Price of the proposed procedure:
-350 Eur (all-ceramic crown)
-30 Eur (post)

The lower first molar could be replaced approximately 2.5 months after extraction. The best option is to replace it with a dental implant, as this avoids grinding the neighboring teeth. Price:
-750 Eur (implant)
-420 Eur (crown on implant)
The tooth can also be replaced with a conventional bridge, in which case both neighboring teeth must be prepared. Thus, three crowns are made. Price:
-210 Eur (metal-ceramic crown) X 3 = 630 Eur.
Veneers can be placed on the front teeth.

Dear Sir/Madam! We whiten teeth using the conventional method (Opalescence system). We do not activate whitening with a light or laser because there is a possibility of overheating the dental pulp. Have a nice day!
